more about Mitzie
Since she was a kid, Mitzie has always loved creative writing with a takeaway. It helped her win a $10 B. Dalton gift certificate from her orthodontist’s office in the early 90’s. It was a life changing moment.
Okay, life changing for a 12-year-old to purchase the latest Sweet Valley Twins and Babysitters Club book series.
Born and raised in Phoenix, Mitzie spent a good portion of her career in broadcasting starting in radio. While attending ASU, she worked in promotions and programming which led to the on-air side. Her love for writing led to a broadcast journalism degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism.
Radio led to TV news. She spent two years as a reporter chasing breaking stories…from crimes of passion to cattle thefts.
Jaded from journalism, Mitzie transitioned into retail marketing and PR wearing a variety of hats. She learned the ins and outs of copywriting, campaign creation, social media management and publicity. The takeaway: relevant writing is the foundation for results; from driving sales to engagement and brand awareness.
From managing social media accounts to securing publicity and creating digital shorts, Mitzie is well-versed in the earned media space.
Residing in the East Valley, Mitzie lives with a household of boys. Her pharmacist husband and son keep her on her toes. She has two wild rescue dogs. When she’s not cranking out content, you’ll find her at Orange Theory, volunteering for causes she believes in, chilling with good friends or fine tuning her creative writing skills.
